Inclusion Preschools

The Liverpool and Wollongong Shepherd Centres have a licensed preschool.

The Annette Shepherd Preschool at Liverpool is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The Wollongong Shepherd Centre Preschool is open, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Each preschool has 15 places per day. Ten of these places are available to community children with typical hearing and five places are for children using The Shepherd Centre early intervention program. Children attend a maximum of two days a week and preschool fees apply.

The preschool provides an intensive listening language input based on a preschool curriculum. By developing these skills in a small environment, we can assist children with hearing loss who may otherwise struggle to transition and integrate into their local community preschool, thereby preparing them for mainstream school.
